What
is the funding for?
BT Community
Connections is an award scheme which enables community and
charitable organisations to get online and make use of information
and communications technology (ICT).
Organisations,
working in any field of community benefit, located throughout
the UK can apply for a laptop and a year's free broadband
connection. There are more than 1,000 award packages available
to groups who can demonstrate how an award will benefit their
work and the local community.
How
much money is available?
Each BTCC
Award package consists:
*A multi-media
internet-ready laptop
*One year's free broadband internet access
*Access to a free community website building tool, www.communitykit.co.uk
*Access to the Recipero support centre to help you build your
website
*Ability to request a visit from a BT Volunteer
*Access to free PR and other online resources
*Access to the BT Community portal which will allow you to
create your own online profile
*Access to BT Community Space to enable you to network with
other community groups who have received a BTCC Award
Who
can apply?
Community
and charitable organisations, working in any field of community
benefit, located throughout the UK who have not received an
award from BT Community Connections before.
When
to apply?
Applicants
must ensure their application is submitted prior to the relevant
closing date otherwise it will not be considered.
